Often, the words celebrity and reasonably priced don't go hand in hand. Most things famous people use are way beyond the reach of your average consumer. But by the looks of it, there’s finally something that a celeb and a regular person can use alike.
Don’t rack your brains too much; we’re talking about Jennifer Garner's simple breakfast smoothie!
Sharing healthy recipes like smoothies has become a popular trend among Hollywood A-listers these days. Whether it's Jessica Alba's acne clearing smoothie or Zac Efron's red-carpet-ready smoothie, every actor has a delicious solution for your problems. But generally, such solutions tend to be too costly for people to use on the regular.
If you’ve tried any of the A-lister smoothies but haven’t been able to stick to them due to the price tag, here's a simple recipe from Garner's kitchen to put you out of your misery.
The Secret Behind Garner's Beauty
A few years back, while training for the 2018 movie “Peppermint,” Garner met nutritionist Kelly LeVeque, and the two hit it off immediately. Leveque, who is known for her Fab Four recipes, gave Garner the easy mantra to fitness, and she's been following it ever since.
As per LeVeque's mantra, the road to healthy living starts with including the correct amount of protein, fat, fiber, and greens in your diet. You'll be amazed to know how Garner has incorporated all of these things into her breakfast smoothie.
Garner's Go-To Breakfast Smoothie
Instead of running after high-priced items, Garner has chosen to stick with easily available off-the-counter ingredients. She has used collagen protein powder, chia seeds, almond butter, spinach, almond milk, ground flaxseed, and blueberries to come up with the healthy beverage.
This is how she whips up her signature smoothie—she first adds two scoops of chocolate coconut collagen powder (by Primal Kitchen) to a blender, followed by a tablespoon each of ground flax seeds, chia seeds, and almond butter, along with one and a half cups of almond milk, a handful of fresh spinach, three to four ice cubes and some blueberries. Though in her Instagram video, blueberries are replaced with some cold-pressed blueberry puree (by Once Upon A Farm), you'll get the same flavor if you stick to the fruit itself.
What Makes Garner's Smoothie Special?
LeVeque, who advised Garner to follow this practice, says her formula keeps her clients satisfied and manages their blood sugar levels. It also promotes hormone production, microbiome proliferation, and healthy body composition. Above all, it turns off eight hunger hormones in the body and makes sure the person is getting enough fatty and amino acids essential for cell generation. The best part is that it keeps people full for four to six hours, meaning no unhealthy munching during this period.
