One way to keep your kids entertained is to plan stops at places that would be of interest to them. Take them to a fair or a beautiful park where they can fly kites. It’s important to keep in mind what the children want as much as what the parents would like to do. If you want to plan a boring museum tour all over the country, maybe don’t take your kids. Similarly, it is necessary that you and your partner do things you had planned, too. Make sure it is something both parties can enjoy.

Long hours on the roads can really be challenging for impatient kids and can get boring quite fast. Parents need to keep them occupied so one idea is bringing art supplies like coloring books, notepads and crayons. Do not bring scissors or anything pointy! You don’t want to bring anything that can be potentially more dangerous in a smaller space. You can even bring reading books that the kids can read together. However, the thing that would work best is an art competition. Give them a task related to art and it should keep them busy for a good hour or two.

It’s okay to give your kids ‘IPad time’ on road trips.
